5 Morning Yoga Poses to Energize Your Day

Waking up and rolling out of bed doesn’t have to feel like a chore. These five simple yoga poses will wake up your muscles, clear your mind, and give you the boost you need to tackle whatever comes your way.

  1. Downward Dog
    Start on all fours, tuck your toes, and lift your hips toward the ceiling. Reach your heels down and press your chest toward your thighs.
  2. Cobra
    Lie on your belly, place your hands under your shoulders, and gently press up—opening your chest and keeping your elbows close.
  3. Warrior I
    Step your right foot forward, bend the knee, square your hips to the front, reach your arms overhead, and gaze up.
  4. Tree Pose
    Start on all fours, tuck your toes, and lift your hips toward the ceiling. Reach your heels down and press your chest toward your thighs.
  5. Child’s Pose
    Start on all fours, tuck your toes, and lift your hips toward the ceiling. Reach your heels down and press your chest toward your thighs.
